What Is Diamond Cutting?

Diamond cutting is a precision alloy wheel refurbishment process used to restore wheels with a diamond-cut finish back to their original factory look. This type of finish is commonly found on modern vehicles and features a bright, polished metal face with painted inner sections.

During the diamond cutting process, a very thin layer of metal is removed from the wheel surface using a specialist CNC lathe, creating a smooth, clean and reflective finish. This method allows us to eliminate kerb damage, scratches, corrosion and surface imperfections with extreme accuracy.

At Barts Wheels Ltd, we use HL24 diamond cutting machines, ensuring a high level of precision, consistency and quality. These advanced machines allow us to achieve a flawless finish while maintaining the correct wheel profile and safety standards.

Diamond cutting not only improves the appearance of your alloy wheels, but also helps protect them from further corrosion when finished with a durable lacquer coating. The result is a wheel that looks as good as new, enhancing the overall look and value of your vehicle.
